GSM stands for Grams per Square Meter. It is the standard measure of paper weight and density. Choosing the right GSM is crucial for the feel and durability of your product.
Common GSM Standards
- 54-60 GSM: Standard newsprint or low-cost notebooks.
- 70-80 GSM: The industry standard for copier paper and high-quality school notebooks (Maplitho).
- 90-120 GSM: Letterheads and premium executive diary pages.
- 130-170 GSM: Brochures and flyers (Art Paper).
- 300+ GSM: Business cards and paperback book covers.
Maplitho vs. Art Paper
Maplitho is an uncoated, surface-sized paper. It’s excellent for writing because it absorbs ink well. We recommend this for our Office Calendars and Notebooks.
Art Paper is coated (glossy or matte) to make colors pop. It is less suitable for writing but perfect for visual impact, such as Wall Calendars and Brochures.
